It is amazing how people almost worship, idolize sports figures, and most of them gladly accept the adoration, because they can move a ball through a basket, down a field or hit it out of the park.
Our Creator God keeps this planet spinning with precision every millisecond of the day and night. He makes the sun come up every day! He gives us life! He sustains every living thing, including Doug Anderson. God gave him his abilities, and God should receive the glory for anything good that man can accomplish! Don't worship people, worship Almighty God, who sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die for you and I!
John 3:16-17, "For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him."
John 12:32, "And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me." Look to Jesus, not yourself or others!
