Suicide Is NOT The Answer...Kristen Jane Anderson's Story...

A friend called me today and shared with me how her 15 yr. old daughter had been distraught for the past 2 months.  The mother was unaware of this until today.  The daughter doesn't live with her mom.  The girl's grandmother has been ill for about 2 months, and the girl's mother takes care of the grandmother.  So, the girl didn't want to load her mom down with more worries... She and her boyfriend had recently broken up, and it added to her depression.  The girl made a noose, put her neck in it, and was talking with her ex-boyfriend on the phone.  He sensed something was wrong, and jumped in his car and flew to her house.  In the meantime, she accidentally dropped the phone, and reached for it and fell, hanging.  Her ex-boyfriend made it to her house, tried to knock down the big wooden door, went around and looked in the window, and managed to get in through the back of the house.  He cut her down, and saved her life.  This is such a sweet, talented, beautiful girl.  Praise God that she survived!!!!!!!  The girl told her mom that she regretted what happened and never wants to go through it again.
  Teens always need to know they have someone to talk to about anything.  They need to know that they are loved unconditionally.  They need to feel accepted.  THEY NEED TO KNOW JESUS.  They do not need to feel condemned or rejected, ever.  They need to know their identity(where they came from), purpose(why they're here), and destination(where they're going).  They need to know they came from Creator God, and He loves them deeply and has things for them to do that no one else on this planet can do.  They need to know that there really is a heaven, and when Jesus comes, they will go, if He has their heart.
  So many teens feel rejection for various reasons, and it really causes them deep wounds.  Jesus can and does heal those wounds!  Part of Psalm 147:3-6 "He heals the heartbroken and bandages their wounds. He counts the stars and assigns each a name.  Our Lord is great, with limitless strength;
we'll never comprehend what he knows and does.  God puts the fallen on their feet again."
  If you've contemplated suicide, please seek help.  You can be happy, even though it seems like you are surrounded with hopelessness.  It is NOT hopeless, and you will heal.  Jesus gave His life for you.  He formed you in the womb, and smiled when He saw into the future and looked at who He created you to be.  You are not a mess up.  You are not a loser.  You are not filthy.  Jesus died and took your filth.  Jesus died and took your pain.  Jesus died so you can live.  It breaks His heart to see you hurting.  He longs to heal you.  Would you let Him do that now?  He who flung the stars into space has all power, and He can give you peace that amazes you.  Jesus died and took your rejection.  He was spit upon, laughed at, made fun of, had his clothing torn off, naked.  He took your guilt and the guilt of those who have hurt you, on the cross.  If you ask, Jesus will give you His perfect, spotless character.  He will put forgiveness for yourself and to those who have hyrt you, in your heart.  He will make your past a stepping stone to make you stronger today.  He has a bright future for you:-)  Jeremiah 29:11, " I know what I'm doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for."
