26 year old stuntman Greg Gasson, is a top competitor who does loves high risk sports! He is a trained stuntman, and has much more ability than the average skydiver. Instead of wearing his parachute, he holds it in his hand and then clamps down on it with a vice grip, once it is deployed!
Personally, hang gliding looks like fun, but jumping out of an airplane doesn't appeal to me in the least!
It reminds me of the temptation of Jesus in Matthew 4:5-7, "Then the devil took him to the holy city, Jerusalem, to the highest point of the Temple, and said, “If you are the Son of God, jump off! For the Scriptures say, He will order his angels to protect you. And they will hold you up with their hands
so you won’t even hurt your foot on a stone. Jesus responded, “The Scriptures also say, You must not test the Lord your God." Would it have been wrong for Jesus to jump? You bet it would have, because satan said the big IF, IF You are the Son of God. Jesus doesn't work miracles to prove who He is. Jesus works miracles because of who He is! Miracles are a way that God draws people closer to Himself. Satan would not have been converted, and Jesus would have been giving Him his evil desire. Jesus would not give in to temptation!!!!!!! He stayed on course for you and I.
So, if you enjoy parachuting, go for it! If not, that's okay too! There always has to be a cameraman/woman on the ground, right?!:-) You can always fly the highest with the Most High!
