From No Limbs to No Limits, motivational speaker Nick Vujicic has overcome disability and depression to encourage others to live life to the fullest. Born with Tetra-amelia syndrome, a rare disorder characterised by the absence of both arms and legs, Vujicic struggled with depression and loneliness as a child. However, Nick says his faith in God and encouragement from friends and family helped him discover his purpose in life. Since the age of 19 Nick has been fulfilling his dream of being able to encourage others through motivational speaking and sharing his testimony about how God changed his life and gave him a future and hope.
“I found the purpose of my existence, and also the purpose of my circumstance. There’s a purpose for why you’re in the fire,” the Australia-born Vujicic writes on his website. The best-selling author married Kanae Miyahara in California on February 10, the couple spent last week in Hawaii on their honeymoon.
The Daily Mail reports that Vujicic mastered life’s daily tasks as a teen, and went on to show that he can do everything that able bodied people can do-including writing, typing, playing drums, brushing his teeth and using a camera.
